Crispy’s Perspective Tips: Partitionining or “How I cheat on Perspective”
This was written for Wytwolf, who was expressing having some problems with drawing things when the vanishing point or the horizon line isn’t visible in the picture. But if you guys would find it useful too, feel free to take a peek.
Warning: This was done up really quick inbetween working on things. Also, because some people have expressed being annoyed with my long posts, everything’s under a cut. Have fun and keep drawing!
(JUST AS A NOTE, what I’m showing you here is a LOT EASIER TO DO TRADITIONALLY THAN ON PHOTOSHOP—honestly, figuring out vanishing points outside of the frame is really easy to do digitally. This is how I deal with that tricky stuff when I’m drawing with paper and pencil. I juts did it digitally for the sake of getting this up faster)

The Youmacon tshirt isnt going to be full color or anything, and it will have all four characters on it, but since Moemi is the best part of it so far, this quickcolor cropped version is just kinda fun… i have to hop on finishing this up tonight, i’ll be working on that live in a little while here. Gotta draw Gundam and Tuxedo Mask cosplay… uguu…
Post Apocalypse Zelda, Part 2
A few developmental sketches on the characters, as well as a couple of roughs on what the world might look like. As with the enemy choice, prop selection was difficult to nail down, and time constraints prevented furthur exploration. The hookshot and shield unfortunately had to be cut.

Post-Apocalypse Zelda, Part 1
Something of a personal project, I’ve wanted to do a sort of Future Zelda for some time now, and school tossed this assignment my way: redesign an old video game.
I’ve always wondered what Hyrule would be like in some strange, parallel, bombed out universe, and this is my exploration into that land over the course of 7 weeks. This is part 1 of 2 parts, showing the various character and monster designs I decided to work with. Part 2 will contain more developmental pieces, including some of the environments and props.
Some notes:
For the most part, I tried to stay true to the already established universe, keeping in mind certain mechanics and plot points. Deciding on the enemy selection was difficult: there are many, many signature enemies in the games, and I would have liked to work with all of them. In the end I settled on enemies that had the most impact on me, either through nostalgia (like the Octorok) or gameplay experience (Redeads).

Contest - A Fat Female Superhero ›
Based on a recent submission to Eschergirls, I am hosting a contest!
- Draw or write a fat female superhero who defies the “industry standard” body conventions
- “Olympian” athletic musculature is also allowed, the point is to escape the typical stick-with-boobs body type
- Also accepting redesigns of existing superheroines with more proportional, realistic bodies (Powergirl with the body of a female weightlifter, etc)

However, I’m kinda disappointed in Black Widow’s design. *le sigh* Honestly, I don’t think her outfit would look much different, maybe a little more robe-ish (hush, I have AC on the brain right now.)
I mean hell, the guys in spandex got more layers, but why not her?
