Just a sketch from my (for some reason far more active) sketchbook. Thinking of that Silent Manga contest - the original inspiration idea for Down and for what turned into Proximity would make for an idea entry, considering that the idea was quite abstract…

Best thing to come out of last night’s live drawing session - Snarkybear, Jammin. :)
Happy Darkly Cute Day! [Wednesday - March 28, 2012] - it was March 28th, 2001 that Tohya Miho made her first appearance in Megatokyo. So… Happy Darkly Cute day! Want to show your observance of the darkly cute one? Lots of Miho-themed shirts in the MT store to proclaim your worship and adoration. :)
Like i said, i wont share the final version of this when it’s done, but here’s a look at what the colored version is looking like. It’s getting there, not looking too bad. There are a lot of things about this that DON’T work, but overall it’s not too bad of an image, and is at least somewhat dynamic. I had great difficulty avoiding doing this as the ‘OHAYO!’ version, which involves a toothbrush and a cup of coffee and morning bleary eyes…
Feathers! Look! Look!
A work in progress screencap of the illustration i’ve been working on for the Anime Angels artbook, a (possibly?) fanciful scene from unMod with the wingless (but magical-girl flight-like leaping ability) Yuki is showing the angel-wing Fet-modded and flightless Piroko how to ‘fly’. [Fet-mods == Fetish mods; read the unMod Omake to understand why Piroko has a set] I won’t be posting the finished image online for a while - not until after the book comes out, but i’ll share enough of these that you’ll get a sense of it. Need to have it colored by the 28th, which is coming up fast…
Ah! Piroko doesn’t look pleased with Yuki! XD
These are just a series of character sketches for something i’ve been working on, sort of the end result of the most interesting of several different development threads i’ve been working on for the past year has flowed into. No, it’s not Megatokyo and it’s not Warmth, it’s something else (‘proximation’ is just a temporary title - i haven’t decided on an actual title for it yet, but it is derived heavily from the Scatterings concept i’ve been parsing for a while now). I’ll share more material as it comes together, if you guys like.
Funny thing about writing. It always seems to work best when you have two ideas going at the same time. When i just focus on MT stuff, i get stuck. When i have another project percolating in the back of my mind it really seems to help the MT stuff flow better too. I wonder if i’m just neurotic or something. (FTR, next MT comic is in the works)
These are so cute! :3
